Peter & Dorothy Neilson

Peter recently celebrated 50 years of ministry within the Church of Scotland in a range of roles from parish ministry in Glasgow and Edinburgh city centre to national roles in mission and supporting church-planters. For a number of years, he acted as a freelance mission consultant and hosted day retreats at his home along with his wife, Dorothy, who is a spiritual director and Enneagram practitioner. Peter was involved from 2004 in establishing Invest, the predecessor to the Forge course for training in Pioneer Mission. He serves as part of the Scottish Forge Team and has had a long association with the Celtic-inspired Community of Aidan and Hilda. On the family front, Dorothy and Peter have three married daughters (one in Auckland!) and six grandchildren.

Peter and Dorothy will be our guests at the hui in Auckland exploring Celtic Spirituality, specifically the role of Anamchara (soul friend) in discipleship, and at our online community May 20 a broader look at all things Celtic, with a focus on Mission and Evangelism.
